The process is fairly simple. Shipping arrangements are made by your Miniature Siberian Husky breeder. The breeder contacts Delta or United airlines to make the reservation once the final payment is made for the puppy. Once a reservation is secured, you will receive a journey number or an airway bill number. You will need to keep track of this number because you’ll be able to use it to track your puppy and to pick up your Miniature Siberian Husky puppy from the airport.
How to I Pick up My Miniature Siberian Husky Puppy at the Airport?
Different airports have different regulations. Some airports will have you pick up your Mini Husky puppy from the ticket counter. In some cases, you may be asked to retrieve your puppy from the cargo area. This information is usually conveyed to the Mini Husky breeder when the breeder makes your reservations.
How Much Will Shipping a Miniature Siberian Husky Puppy Cost?
The costs involved in shipping are divided into three parts. In order to ship your Mini Husky puppy, you will need to purchase an airline approved carrier for your puppy to travel in. This carrier costs approximately $60.00. You will also need to purchase a health certificate for your puppy. This certificate is essentially permission to be transported and involves a visit to the vet and an exam. The cost for this is $70.00. Finally, the flight itself can vary between $215-$292 for US flights. Canadian flights may cost more.
Where Will My Mini Husky Puppy be Shipped From?
We use three airports. Our first option is Asheville airport. (AVL) However, some flights must originate from GSP (Greenville, SC). In this case, we charge a delivery fee of $25.00. Flights going to Calgary or Alberta in Canada must originate from ATL (Atlanta, Georgia) are assessed a $60.00 delivery fee.
Please note that we must ship to the nearest International airport. Smaller airports may not be serviced by Delta or United, or these flights may not allow pets. Please be sure to let us know at least 3 options for airports when you make your reservation.
