What to Feed Your Miniature Siberian Husky Puppy When He or She Comes Home

When people contact us to buy a Miniature Siberian Husky puppy, we’re often asked about what we feed our pups. We’re asked about brands of food to use and we have several brands that we’ve liked over the years, but nothing beats our homemade puppy chow recipe. Mini husky puppies seem to love these recipes a whole lot. You might want to try some out with your new puppy:

Mini Husky Puppy Mash

  • 4 Spoonfuls of Pumpkin Pie Filling
  • 1 Small Can of Tuna of Tuna in Water
  • 2 oz. Canned Goat’s Milk

Mix together until you achieve a soupy consistency and serve to your puppy.

Mini Husky Puppy Chow

  • 2 Spoonfuls of Pumpkin Pie Filling
  • 1 Small Can of Chicken
  • 3 Heaping Spoonfuls of Plain Vanilla Yogurt

Mix together and serve.

These recipes are ideal for feeding brand new puppies for the first couple of weeks after they come home. The pumpkin provides fiber and help keeps puppies from developing bowel issues. Yogurt is also good for this. After the first couple of weeks, transition to mixing the ingredients with soft puppy food, and then mix with kibble thereafter. You can also substitute the meat in baby food jars if your worried about additives in chicken or possible mercury in tuna.
